In Remembrance

April 23rd is my Dad's birthday and most of the time we go out and eat as a family, or go to a movie, or even get a dog. Well Kurt and I are going to start a new tradition here in St. George in remembrance. My dad worked for the Coca Cola company and a while back we found some Coca Cola shirts at Target and we just had to get them. So we got all ready and put on our matching shirts and headed out to celebrate. There is a place called Thomas Judd's Store Co and it has all this coca cola stuff  and all different kinds of bottle drinks. So we thought to go there and buy us some Coke bottles. Not knowing it was the art festival in town, it was so crowed! We wanted to drink them there, but there were far too many people, so we grabbed them and ran. We decided to save them later for dinner. We enjoyed a nice lunch at Jimmy Johns, one of our favorite places to eat and had a great day!

Dad would've been 52 this day, can't imagine him getting more gray hairs than he already had. It's always nice to have a few days where we do things in remembrance of him. I feel like on those days he is a lot closer to us and can feel his presence more. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful father who was such a great example, so strong in the gospel, and made sure we always knew as his kids that he loves us and that we are important to him. Happy Birthday Dad!! We Love You and Miss You! Xoxoxo

Three Ponds Trail

Kurt and I decided we needed to get out and go on a hike, we haven't really been hiking since we've been married and the weather is getting so nice! We looked up some hikes in Snow Canyon and woke up at what feels like the butt crack of dawn because it's a saturday!! It was really only like 8 o clock when we woke up and then packed our camelbacks and camera and headed out the door. It was a really pretty hike, it said it was about 3.5 miles round trip, and because of all the scenery pictures it took us about an hour to hike 2 miles. Pretty pathetic I know. We did find the 3 disgusting ponds though, which we thought we were lost the whole time. And not mentioning walking through a dried out river bottom with mounds and mounds of sand which turned into mounds and mounds of sand in my shoe! Not very comfortable. One the way back it only took us like half hour, so we caught up with our time. We are gonna have to do hikes more often.

It was such a nice morning to spend with Kurt before he had to go to work. :( Once we got back into town, we went to subway and went to the park to have a picnic-don't ever sit on the grass without a blanket, it itches so bad afterwards.

Krumpets is my new favorite store. Melinda introduced it to me a couple months back, which was a bad idea. I have always wanted to go there, but knew if I did, I would never stop going. Krumpets is like a home decorating store. They always have the cutest decorations for every holiday or season. The best time to go, is a couple of weeks before the actual holiday because then everything for that holiday is 50% off. If you go after, its like 75% off, but may not get all the things you want due to out of stock and sold out. I went there the other day to get some spring things for my house. I purchased four cute things and it came out to be only 12 bucks, thanks to the 50% off my whole purchase.

Transformer?

This here is Kurt's clock radio. You're probably wondering what the heck? Well this clock is not so innocent as it looks. We have never turned it on to listen to the radio, we have done absolutely nothing to it except glance at it occasionally to tell the time. It only happens at night, probably because that's really the only time that we are in our room, but it makes noises. Noises as if it were on. The volume is turned down as far as it can go, and the frequency thing is as far left as it will go. But somehow it manages to make the static sound ALL the time! Last night was the worst I have heard it, and it even ended up waking me up in the middle of the night and was going on for a little bit, then stop, then go back on and etc. I finally had to tell Kurt to unplug it because I could not fall asleep. We think that it's a transformer trying to get into our brains or the government trying to listen to our conversations as if we were bad guys or something. It's kind of creepy if you ask me. So if anyone is in need of a clock and really wants one, we will give this one to you at no charge!!
