Thing 1 & Thing 2

A few weekends ago, Thing 1 and Thing 2 aka my sister and brother came into town. I love when they do, because we always seem to have so much fun when they are here. My little sister, Katie is in hair school and Kurt needed a hair cut. She did a really good job at that. I think Kurt was a little nervous about it. I was a little sad though because I sort of didn't want him to cut it, but knew it needed to be sooner or later. So why not get it done when it's free??

Sisters

I think Kurt liked Kt glasses a little too much.

Not my husband
We have introduced Justin and Katie to Modern Family, our newest favorite tv episodes. They watched a lot of the first season while here and we also went swimming with Paige, our good friend . I think Katie and I got a little sun. On Saturday, we went to Benja's to eat dinner with the whole gang. Katie was a little picture crazy. It was sad to see them go once again, but it wouldn't be long before we would see them again....LAKE POWELL......to be coming.

18 month old KJ

Trying to take off his shirt

My sister and her husband are here for the summer and she asked me to take her little boys pictures. We went over to the water park on Main Street and the historic homes across the street. But first, KJ had to ride the carousel that they recently put in. I don't think he liked it as much as he thought. I have never taken pictures of an 18 month old, or really someone who could walk, and it is definitely a lot harder to do than a small child who either just sits there or sleeps. Kj didn't really sit in one position, always on the move and I don't know if its me or the camera, but it was hard to get him to look my way, straight into the camera. It was a very hot day, and once Kj saw the water, that's all he wanted to do. He was so excited to play in it. He wanted his shirt off, his pants, every thing. The water fountain was not running constantly, it would come on every couple of minutes or so and as soon as they did, he would bolt out of there. There were a couple of times when he was standing right in the middle and we just wanted it to off, it took a while until it finally did and it was the saddest yet funniest thing. He didn't know how to get out of there and the water was just coming down. He was fine as soon as he got out, but it was really funny.

Fourth Of July

Kenzie is one of the funniest little girls

This last week was a great week filled with lots of fun. Melinda came down with her 2 girls for the baby blessing of Emmie May and stayed all week. I really enjoyed spending time with her and waking up in the morning and going on some runs, scrapbooking, and just hanging out. That Melinda is a party animal and is always having fun doing something. For the 4th, Kurt and I went and bought fireworks that his Dad hadn't bought and we set them off a little bit earlier so that Kenzie was able to experience them before she went to bed. Her and Mikell loved the pops that we bought for them and the sparklers as well. Later that night, we shot off the good ones his dad bought, all the little kids loved them, Kurt included.
