For my birthday, Kurt bought tickets to KA cirque du soleil at the MGM Grand. He had work that morning, :( but we were still able to get out of town by three o clock. Just before we were about to leave, Kurt told me I had one more surprise. So we were just chilling at the Texaco waiting for my surprise. 10 minutes later, my brother pulled up. Yep, that was my surprise! My brother came down to see me and to spend the weekend with us. It was a great surprise, but I felt bad because we were just leaving for Vegas. But he already knew that, so he wished us a lot of fun and we'd find him here when we got back. That sure made my day even more.
We did a lot of looking, didn't find really anything that I liked or wanted. We had a delightful dinner at CheeseCake Factory, it was a good thing we still had a long walk ahead of us to get back to the MGM because I was so stuffed. By the time our dinner came, I hardly touched it. We had a spinach and artichoke dip which was so so delicious and of course, the yummy bread.
The show is was so amazing! It was so crazy to see the things that they can do and even just the stage was pretty awesome! I would love to go back and see the other ones at the other casinos. It was such a great birthday and loved spending it with my hubby!

Niece # 5
Emmie Mae Gardner was born this beautiful day. I was a little upset that she wasn't born on her due date, which was my birthday, we could've been twinners. But that all faded as soon as I saw her. She is so stinking cute and is so calm. She just plays with her tongue all day and smiles here and there. Kurt had work at 2, so he only got to see her for a little bit. But I stayed there after he left and just hung out with them and held little Emmie. I am so glad there are so many babies in this family to keep me sane.

Birthday Week
Birthday Balloons! |
Kurt is the double 2-2!! He is so funny, he tells me every day, I can do what I want because it's my birthday...No Kurt it's not your birthday yet. Well it's my birthday week, so I can do what I want. never knew I married such a kid. Kurt had to work on his birthday because he didn't ask for it off, :( so we went to dinner the night before at Samurai 21 with Tim and Kaysie. Oh how I love that place. It was a good choice. We had a great time with them and were glad that we were finally able to go on a date with them with no kids. Their kids got their turn last week, now it was their turn.
On Tuesday, before I went to work, we made french toast, because that is what kurt wanted for breakfast, then we opened his presents. He got some new shoes, a water bottle, 1st season of Modern Family, some shirts, a George Foreman, a wallet, some basketball shorts, money and another present on the way. Oh and a THOR t-shirt that he absolutely loves. We had a nice lunch at Olive Garden with his family then he had to go to work. What a poopoo of a day, to have to go to work on your birthday till 9 at night. We went to SpoonMe where Kelsey works and JK was there and got a SpoonMe and just sat and talked with them for a while. At least he got some type of treat thing on his birthday. That was nice of them. When we got home, we missed Brant and Kacen, they had come over and hid some IBC Rootbeers in various places in our home with little notes next to each. Those two are a crack.
Aint he a doll? |
Since Kurt got off work so late on his birthday, we had cake and ice cream on Wednesday, when he didn't have work and that way everyone could come and not have to put the kids to bed just yet. I tried a new recipe and made a snickers cake, it turned out really delicious! Afterwards we played telestrations and had a lot of good laughs with that. There are still a few more presents to come, which is why I guess you could say it really is his birthday week: dinner monday, birthday tuesday, cake wednesday, maybe presents friday.
All in all it was a great few days to spend with Kurt. I hope he had a great birthday and am so grateful for him and glad to call him mine.
Movie Night
Chase & Jaxon |
See these two little boys? Well they are the cutest! Kurt and I took them to go see Gnomeo and Juliet for Jaxon's 6th birthday and it was so fun! We bought popcorn and candy and drinks, I think we had it all. However, Chase wasn't so happy everytime Kurt finished something off. Kurt can I have some popcorn....it's all gone. Kurt can I have some sour watermelons? ......you eat everything! Can I have some skittles?.....shakes the box and nothing is there. It was so funny.

College Days
Right after I graduated high school, I moved down to St. George to live with a few girls who were in my homeward and my high school as well as two others who I had no idea who they were. I was not really good friends with the girls I was moving in with, but I was at one point and time in my life. I still thought they were really cute and nice girls, so I was excited. That year, it was the most fun I had ever had in college. We made so many memories that I will never forget. And to this day, we are all still the best of friends. We became so close and learned so much about each other, how could we not stay friends for life?
Well anyway, this last week a few of them came down for the weekend and we were able to see each other and catch up on life and remember the times that we lived with one another and the times that made us laugh, the times that we stayed up till the wee hours of the morning in the bathroom eating carrots, and the time someone put dish soap in the dishwasher and made it explode. All of those times and then some are priceless, ones that we look back on to remember our freshman year of college at Dixie as Rebels.
